Kitchen Arts: ClafoutisSunday, September 17
Clafoutis...What is it and where can I get some? Karen Chaussabel will lead the discussion talking about her French upbringing and how to make the incredible Clafoutis.
Clafoutis (pronounced “klafuti”) is a baked French dessert consisting of fruit, traditionally cherries, covered by a thick crepe-like batter. The dish's name comes from the Occitan clafotís, from the verb clafir, meaning "to fill" (implied: "the batter with cherries”). In this class, you will make a clafoutis and also learn how you can use the batter as a base canvas to create other fruit and flavor combinations. Dairy-free option available upon request.
