First Annual Bainbridge Irish Road Bowling Tournament

Presented by Bainbridge Irish at Bainbridge Island High School, Bainbridge Island

April 12, 2026

Time to Play to Win! Or to Cheer your Team! Time to Play to Win! Or to Cheer your Team! Teams of up to 4 players will compete in our own Bainbridge version of Irish Road Bowling, a 300-year-old sport invented in Ireland, where players roll a small, heavy bowl around the track in the fewest number of throws. That's it! Simple but difficult, and as Irish as you get in creating family fun in an atmosphere of Irish friendship and light competition, fortified by Irish food, music and humor. Funds raised over our costs will be donated to the Bainbridge Irish, a newly formed cultural club on BI.

First and Second Place prizes will be awarded, along with prizes for "best (Irish) dressed," and the most lephrechaun dollars in hand after "pretend wagering" on your favorite team.

All awards will be presented (and toasts will be made) at the Plate & Pint immediately following the tournament.

Whether you come to play or cheer for your family and friends - for free! - it will be, as the Irish say, Craic (a fun, relaxed time)!
